A caring perspective can open new opportunities
Sembrando Miradas brings together the volunteer journey of Astrid Rodríguez Gamarra, who has taken part in community initiatives supported by Factory Lens since the age of seven. The initiative seeks to raise awareness of vision care needs among vulnerable communities and encourage solidarity.

A JOURNEY OF GROWTH
Astrid’s commitment began in childhood
Since the age of seven, Astrid has helped prepare and distribute eyeglasses and donations. Over time, she suggested adding first-aid kits to outreach efforts and developed a deeper interest in vision care. At age sixteen, she began learning to operate an autorefractor and Essilor’s WAM 800.
Her journey reflects learning, empathy and initiative in service of others.
