Empathy
Listening to and recognizing each community’s needs.

Sembrando Miradas is a social impact initiative sharing Astrid Rodríguez Gamarra’s community service journey. Since the age of seven, Astrid has taken part in charitable and vision-care outreach campaigns organized by Factory Lens, a Peruvian optical company.
Astrid’s earliest experiences involved joining campaigns that distributed free eyeglasses and donated supplies. Over time, her involvement grew: she helped prepare glasses and suggested adding medicines and first-aid kits after noticing the needs of families visited.

We aim to raise awareness of vision-care needs in underserved communities, foster solidarity, and encourage more young people to engage in community service.

The earlier campaigns were organized by Factory Lens, a Peruvian optical company, with Astrid participating as a volunteer and contributor. Sembrando Miradas documents this journey and does not claim to have independently organized those campaigns.
